Asym

Concept

Based on the obvious difference between forehand and backhand surfing, the Asym lets you get steep and deep whichever way you go. Designed around your stance, it will perform equally well frontside & backside. It offers an intuitive flow that’ll help you connect explosive turns with style. Enjoy the reliability and control of your favourite thruster with the inherent speed and flow of a twin.

  • Our starting price includes

    • Cedar wood stringer

    • High quality clear glassing with volan patches

    • 6+6 x 6 glassing schedule

    • Futures fin boxes

    * Extras such as colour resin tints, timber tail blocks, double or triple stringers and floral inlays are priced in addition to the starting cost. These vary depending on the complexity of the design and are priced between $80-$200 each.

  • Small Waves
You’ll enjoy the paddle power and notice glide through flatter sections in comparison to your regular shortboard but still be able to turn when it gets more critical.

    Solid Waves
Whatever way you go, you’ll handle late take-offs easier than ever. Plenty of drive and control on your backhand and lots of speed going both ways. On your forehand, you’ll notice an easy transition going from rail to rail (when you’re not distracted by how fast you’re going).

    Crumbly Waves
Enjoy the sensations you find with a twin fin but with more control. Cruise through crumbly, flatter sections with speed to spare down the line.

    Hollow Waves
You’ll appreciate the control that comes with the speed of our Asym, especially on your backhand.
